Dr. Ko received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Amherst College and earned her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina. She was an assistant professor at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and an associate at a private practice in Wellesley prior to joining Medical Surgical Eye Institute in 2026.
Dr. Ko specializes in cataract surgery using femtosecond laser and premium intraocular lens implants, laser vision correction such as LASIK and PRK, cornea transplants, keratoconus and corneal collagen crosslinking, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. She also provides comprehensive eye care including diabetic exams and macular degeneration.
Dr. Ko is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and New England Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Ko is affiliated with UMass Medical Center and treats patients with complex corneal diseases at Tufts Medical Center where she also teaches residents and fellows.
