Dr. Williams received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY. He earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in Immunology/Molecular Biology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Washington University Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Williams completed his fellowship, subspecialty training in cornea, external diseases and refractive surgery, at Washington University School of Medicine.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Williams was an Instructor at Washington University Medical Center. He was also an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.
Dr. Williams is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery. Dr. Williams is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the cornea, cataract and laser surgery and dry eye disease.
